The El Publico tequila selection. This is a selection to behold. Something to be marvelled at. Every kind you can think of and then some. Take care and drink responsibly.

The Story

Spring has sprung and temperatures are soaring, hooray! A balmy weekend afternoon was the perfect occasion for some thirst quenching as the sun set on a superb day. We find it hard to pass El Publico without salivating over their menu so off we went without further ado.

Lower key and less crowded during daylight hours, the El Publico beverage menu is top drawer 24/7 so don’t be deterred if it’s on the quieter side when you do a daytime drop in. Hey, you might be craving some space.

Staff are attentive and sanguine, you’re made to feel instantly welcome and help is at hand if you can’t decipher some of the Spanish tequila labels (seriously guys, there’s sooo much to choose from).
Kooky wall art and a smattering of knick knacks hint at the cool Mexican heritage, come Dia De Los Muertos this is where we’ll be stationed, and there are some fantastic murals inside that provide a finely honed edge.

The food menu encourages you to share and graze, something us folks love (how else do you fit extra meals in the day!) With all sorts of dishes on offer, this is a great spot for date night or if you want to go all out then keep yours eyes peeled for their next ‘Tequila Dinner’ - 8 courses paired with 8 tequilas. Stock up on the Berrocca for that one.

Wine enthusiasts will be delighted to hear El Publico serves authentic Spanish Cava - enough of the sparkling wine imposters - and boy does it taste good! This place is a couple of hours well spent and as Arnie said (sorry), “we’ll be baa-arck.”
