We gave The Shorehouse time to settle in and for the hype to die down before we ventured along to Swanbourne. With no reservations taken for breakfast we were armed and ready for a wait and then happily surprised when we were promptly seated. Not too shabby!
There’s no bad tables here, everyone gets to breathe in that view and bask in all of the restaurant’s light and airy glory. Come to think of it, the hip beachy decor does conjure something of a holiday vibe and once you’re seated it’s hard to resist… do you do Mimosas?
The breakfast menu is just the right combination of familiar favourites and intriguing alternatives. We consider ourselves gourmet connoisseurs when it comes to all things granola and yet we found ourselves quizzing the wait staff over the more exotic sounding ingredients. Spoiler alert - Yum!
If, like us, you love showing Perth off to out-of-towners then this place ought to make your top 5 must-see spots. Your visitors will struggle to deny that the west coast is the best coast when they’re eating in the brekkie and the view from here.
The eggs were poached just right and with bellies just the right amount of full, the beach was far too inviting to resist a post-brunch stroll.
Take our advice and turn left for your walk. Unless of course the clothing optional beach if your jam.
